Had an really good evening meal, the lamb shanks were tender, cooked perfectly, and the full English breakfast was just tremendous! Jeff welcomed us like old friends, it really made the stay feel personal.

It wasn't exactly cheap but still acceptable for the experience we got.

Consider requesting a larger room if available, as some may feel a bit cramped for longer stays.

The bed linen was old and faded, ruining my stay. Breakfast was a disaster, served in a cold bar with tiny tables. I had to order the night before, which was far too inconvenient after a large dinner.

We had an exceptional stay in a warm, beautifully decorated inn that felt like home. The staff, especially Geoff and Gail, made us feel welcome with great conversations and were attentive to our needs. Breakfast was fantastic, with hearty options that fueled our day of exploring the picturesque village. The only downside was the slightly higher price compared to similar accommodations, but the experience was worth it.

The room acoustics could use some work. I was woken at 4:30 AM by noise from above, which might be a bother for light sleepers. The bathroom could have benefited from a bit more attention to cleanliness, and the absence of good village shops is inconvenient for those wanting packed lunches. a couple of meals we tried didn't measure up, like the fish pie that lacked fish and substance, and the veggie breakfast felt sparse compared to its meat counterpart.

Spent a night here and wow, the views are just magical! Our double room was cozy and the bathroom had a great walk-in shower. The food? Amazing! Breakfast fueled our walk to Buckden. Just a heads up though, we didn't get our tea/coffee restocked after the first night, which was a bummer after a long day.

This place suits me perfectly, providing free wi-fi, a cozy bar/lounge area, and good restaurant meals. I fondly remember when the staff returned my forgotten hairbrush. I highly recommend the warm service and delicious breakfast. I’ll be back for a business trip.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two-night stay in a delightful double room. The lovely patio area was perfect for unwinding after a long day, but remember to bring insect repellent! The staff, albeit busy, quickly offered us assistance when needed. A great base for exploring the stunning surroundings!
